ANTIQUE BIKE EXHIBIT AT 3RDnature 10/25/08 – 11/21/08

Gary Sanderson has been collecting and refurbishing antique bicycles from the 19th Century since 1994, and boasts a collection of almost 200 antique bikes.Twelve (12) of these bikes will be on display at 3RDnature for one month beginning on Oct. 25, 2008 and extending through Nov. 21, 2008. Among the items included in this exhibit will be a Hobby Horse from 1819, high wheels from the late 1800’s, two tandem bicycles (front-to-back and side-by-side) and a children’s high wheel, as well as photos of bicycle artwork from that time period. A high wheel will even be available for test riding for those who are skilled and feeling daring!

Please join us for a cocktail reception with Gary Sanderson on Saturday night, Oct. 25 @ 7:00 pm, and return on Nov. 1 @ 7:00 pm for Gary’s presentation entitled “The First Bicycles and Their Importance in the 19th Century (an illustrated presentation).”  Or come by 3RDnature any time between Oct. 25 and Nov. 21 during our normal business hours (Sun: 9-6; Mon.-Wed: 10-6; Thurs: 12-8; Fri: 10-5) to view the exhibit.

Lactate Threshold Testing with Bruce Hendler follow-up

Following enthusiastic response from our week of Lactate Threshold Testing with Bruce Hendler of AthletiCamps, 3RDnature is pleased to announce that we will now be offering that service here year-round. Appointments can be made to be tested here at the store, after which the results will be analyzed and interpreted by Bruce Hendler. The participant will have direct e-mail and/or phone communication with Bruce for the same quality information and personal attention Bruce's customers expect. Additionally, those who have already been tested or plan to get tested can purchase yearly seasonal packages (4 tests, quarterly) to track their improvement and assist in making ongoing positive adjustments in their training program.
